Dear friends,
A special place for men to find hope: Arapohue Centre is a long-term, therapeutic facility (min. 6-month programme) where issues of the mind, body, spirit and whanau are addressed (te whare tapa whā) in a faith-based, holistic, rural environment.
Arapohue men learn to be good fathers, sons, brothers, workers and to lead by example.
Thanks for being part of this wonderful team at this holistic Christian rehab, which is making a difference in the lives of men and their families.
Stay blessed,
Ray, Jan, Gary, Jaime and the Arapohue Centre A-team

Miracles in the courtroom
Jaime, a former Arapohue guest and now a volunteer mental health and addictions support worker and team leader, had to wait 18 months for his sentencing. He did all the courses he could find to better himself while at Arapohue Centre, and saw a big miracle at his sentencing. Listen to his story (7 min) at The Lighthouse Church in Dargaville.

The Schoolhouse project
It's all hands on deck to get the Schoolhouse finished by Christmas to house a prospective mental health and addictions support worker and family. It will also be a much-needed income earner for the Trust. The Arapohue Centre team is pushing hard to get the interior repairs completed and ready for the painting, flooring and utilities to be installed.
Jaime's son is visiting for the holidays, and keeps up with the best of them on site. He's learning heaps about demo, building and work ethic, as are all the residents working on this job. If you can contribute towards costs still needing to be covered, please see the urgent needs below.

Pastor Sam Turner visit
The men were very encouraged by a visit from Sam Turner, pastor of Paparoa Community Church. This former cage fighter from the London docks brought a powerful message on breaking old patterns and behaviours.

Father's Day at the Packard Museum
Arapohue Centre residents enjoyed a Father's Day treat at the Packard Motor Museum in Maungatapere - one of the world's largest collections of Packard automobiles.
