The power of love
... there is no greater love than to lay your life down for your friends ...

Dear friends,
We're a bit late with this update as unfortunately Janet fell and seriously damaged her left wrist. It's in a cast so she's chipping away at what she can manage with one hand. If anyone is willing and able to lend a hand with cooking, cleaning or gardening, it would be most appreciated.
The team and guests are stepping up with cooking and other tasks so it's not all bad! The back of the Lodge restoration is also coming along nicely.
We're blessed to have welcomed a previous guest James back again. He's says he's just so glad to be back at Arapohue Retreat with the feeling of home and family... and someone to walk alongside.
Arapohue Retreat is a unique refuge from the storm. Sincere thanks to our partners and friends who help make this place happen and see people saved, healed and delivered... for the glory of God.

Horsing around
Thanks to Kyle we are now riding the horses regularly and attempting to train the riders(!!).
The old barn has been partially renovated as a stable for the horses to rest at night out of the freezing rain, wind and mud.
We plan to demo the top storey of the old barn at some stage as it's had it.
Thanks also to Roger & Heather MacKenzie from Horse Riding Warkworth for their partnership and donation of tack gear (bridles, horse blankets etc).
From strength to strength
Lucas doesn't need any help with his pull-ups now! It's wonderful to see the strengthening and restoration of bodies, souls and spirits - and hope blossoming day-by-day.
Janet completed the Elijah House B-School inner healing course in May and is booked to complete the C-School in July. This powerful ministry training is invaluable in the ministry time at Arapohue Retreat.
Visit from Pastor Tawhiri Littlejohn, Kaiwaka Revival Church
We were really blessed when Pastor Tawhiri joined us for a ministry morning to encourage and build up the guys.
