Amazing grace
... how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me ...

I once was lost but now I'm found... was blind, but now I see...
Daily we give thanks to God for rescuing us and making a way for others. This is the heart of God.
It's a privilege to see Him lift people up and set them on a new path with hope and a future.
Arapohue means, 'Pathway of the climbing plant.' Thanks for being with us on the journey.
Thanks...
Ray, Jan and the team

Lucas is Ray's grandson.
He's had a very rough year (having lost his dad, Ray's son, Samuel) but was doing his best. Still, he needed a helping hand even though he didn't realise it. He reached out to grab the hand that was offered with his whole heart and is doing extremely well getting his life back on track.
We are very proud of him.
"Arapohue Retreat has been a big step forward in my life. I have gained a tremendous amount of faith while being here. My walk with the Lord has helped me cut off all ties to the past, and my goal is to continue my step in faith and build a relationship with our God and creator of the universe."
Lucas Curle, 20-years old

Meet Robyn Marsden from Whangarei.
She's an answer to many prayers for help (begging prayers lol), and is a treasured volunteer helper for Jan.
Robyn has a beautiful heart and soul, and her willingness to lend a helping hand wherever is much appreciated.
Her happy place is the garden, and she is a solid and much-loved member of the whanau.

Friends we hadn't met yet...
It was a privilege to host Kiwi historian and author Keith Newman and his lovely and very fun wife Paula.
Keith runs the Bible and Treaty Facebook page and is the author of the great book Ratana on the Maori prophet ... amongst other great books.
They are a real asset to the Kingdom of God.
It was a great time of fellowship and we wish Keith and Paula all the very best in all they do.

Arapohue Retreat volunteer ministry team continues to up-skill in the area of inner healing with the Elijah House NZ schools. This is a significant investment into our professional development to ensure we can give our guests the very best care possible during their stay.
It is Elijah House NZ's desire to see an army of prayer ministers raised up throughout New Zealand.
Their aim is to equip people to listen well, learn to identify root issues and core wounds, and see how those roots and wounds affect people in their present day lives. To identify negative patterns, bad (life) ‘fruit’, judgements, inner vows, lies and bitter-root expectations. To see family restoration and to call people forth into a new life.
Our ministry team, Ray, Jan, Damien and Colleen are hoping to attend several more schools over the next 3 months. Jenn is attending the D-School this week.
Each school is $300 per person so we are looking for $1,500 donations (x5 $300 per person) plus petrol and food. Can you help? We are all unpaid volunteers at Arapohue Retreat. It's a Kiwi Kingdom mission.
Crawshaw Lodge needs a new roof this summer.
Materials pricing has increased since the last quote. We now need $9,000 to complete this job (x3 at $3,000 each)?
The Lodge is where we hold our larger group activities and meals as it contains the kitchen, dining room and lounge, games room, library and sanctuary.
The partially-completed new ceiling is now damaged because of the leaking roof.
Can you help? We would be super grateful if you are able to contribute towards this VIP Arapohue project.
